The Canterbury Community Trust has shown its support for the social services sector of Marlborough with donations to thirteen organisations, totaling $122,857.

“The Canterbury Community Trust is committed to supporting our four funding regions around the challenging provision of social services in today’s economy, not just through donations but through advocacy and collaboration with our constituents.”

Over $380,000 has been distributed to thirty-one social services providers in the Nelson Tasman region, offering some funding relief for many struggling with an increased demand for services.

The Canterbury Community Trust, through their Social Services Sector, approved the funding of over $380,000 at its recent Nelson Tasman donations meeting.

The Canterbury Community Trust (TCCT) is once again a key player in the bid to bring international sporting events to Christchurch. The FIFA U20 Men’s World Cup bid was kick started by TCCT who donated $50,000 and $75,000 worth of event underwriting; funding that has been made available through the establishment of a $1.9 million Event Development Fund.

New fund focuses on quality of life in Canterbury

The Canterbury Community Trust (‘the Trust’) is proactively supporting innovation and employment by launching a new $2.5 million Social Enterprise Fund, says a leading US public policy consultant.The fund is aimed at groups operating in the Canterbury region.

Mary Jo Kaplan, an Ian Axford Fellow in Public Policy, says the initiative will encourage sustainable, economic growth in Canterbury.
